WOO HOO! That was a fun trip!
For those of you who didn't know, i was on a trip with my dad, my brother and my grandpa!
So, like, we went down to the Portland area of Oregon and picked up my granddad Lee. Next, we went ALL the way down to California. (did you know that texting California takes a WHOLE LOT of triple button pushes?) And then, after sleeping in this weird little campsite for a night, that we would go drive the ten miles down to the California coast.
That's right. We saw sea lions. Lots of sea lions. (and seals and stuff!)
-If you wanna see more pictures of the rafts of cuteness, just see my flickr page in like thirty minutes after i post this-
After that, we continued over the next day to see some big a** trees in the California Redwood forests. WAY COOL.
Yes. That is one tree. and those three strange figures at the base of the tree, no those are not gnomes. That's right. Those are people. Me, my grandpa Lee and my dad. (thank god for tripods)
*Just a note, these events didn't exactly occur in this order, i am just... yeah, you get the idea. Actually we saw the big trees before going to the coast, but you can use your imagination*
After one more night at that campsite, we went out to the coast and found a pretty nice campground.
My brother likes doing weird stuff:
Oh, and by the way, that thing that he is standing on is this sort of outcropping that you have to jump to. Oh, and you are jumping over a twenty foot drop to a whole bunch of friendly looking driftwood.
So yeah, we spent one night there, and in the morning we went down to the beach and screwed around in the sand. Somehow my dad got this really cool picture of my brother when he was messing around with my camera. Mucho overexposureo.
After a while of that, we headed up the coast, out of California and back into Oregon. We stopped at this one place where there were huge walls of water spray leaping up from time to time.
In the morning of course we headed straight out of there, eager to get home. We made our last stop at this beach with some surfer dudes doing their thing in like forty degree water. That's the Pacific Northwest for ya!
And of course i found some mud and played in it for a little while. It turned out to be clay :P
All together it was an amazing trip. This was just a really quick overview.
Oh, and about the title: On our last night, the campsite that we chose was just two away from this family of hicks and their twelve evil little children. We found them out after hearing a loud "Y'all dun git outta mah truck!" from this woman to one of her brats, a few seconds afterwards, we heard the most god-awful country music i have ever heard. Yeah. That continued till about 10:30 PM. Pretty awful. By the time they just about shut the hell up, i was ready to bash my head in with a brick.
Enaway, see y'all laterz!
